Waste of money. I would not recommend this item at all. Read through the instructions and followed them completely, but this would not work at all.

The 2.5mm jack was glitchy - only worked when I pulled the plug in a particular direction (otherwise no sound or very faint mono). After 2 minutes of experimenting with it it just broke off. Very flimsy. It does play music off of SD card, but with that I have no control over albums. More importantly, for some reason, I need to turn up my car volume way up to hear anything in this mode (playing off the MP3 player volume was normal). Finally, the FM transmitter is not particularly strong. I was driving from Boston to NC and had to switch this thing off when passing even remotely big towns (e.g., Hartford or New Haven) - forget listening to it when in NY or DC, some local station will easily overpower this device. With the car volume turned way up, the local station breaking in is quite painful for the ears...br /br /I guess you get what you pay for, but this is really poor.
